Meadowmont Goes Green!

 Set an objective to walk into the Village at least once a week.

It is good for your health and gets you out of the car! Check out the neighborhood or walk the trails.

Have a cup of coffee, a sandwich, an ice cream go for dinner stroll around and visit the local shops. The local merchants love to talk to you!

In turn we need to support them. After all The Village in Meadowmont is one of the reasons we chose to live here!

 Want to do some cleaning and get rid of some "stuff"?

Consider donating it to the "HABITAT HAND-ME-UP" Store.

It will be used for a good purpose and will keep it out of the landfill.  The proceeds generated by donations are used to build affordable homes. Do you have items no one else will take? Try www.freecycle.org . It is a non profit organization regulated by local monitors to keep the site safe.  You post the article on their e-mail list and the "recipient" will pick it up (electronic equipment, clean lunber, hardware, good paint and others.

We still need to save water even after the recent rains!

Get your own rainbarrel. It is amazing how quickly they fill up. (Some restrictions as to placement may apply in Meadowmont)

Did you know that Staples will actually PAY you to recycle your printing cartridges? ($3.00 for most cartridges)

Merchants at the Farmers markets will be happy to recycle your clamshell containers, egg cartons, plastic flower pots etc.

KEEP THEM OUT OF THE LANDFILL!!
